"Last Chance" tactical Police knife, obverse side view in etched 440C high chromium stainless steel blade, 304 stainless steel bolsters, Midnight stone gemstone handle, kydex, aluminum, blued steel sheath with flashplate
"Last Chance" Tactical Police Knife

The Last Chance design was named by the original designer of the knife, a State Policeman, and this one is a derivative of the original (which, unfortunately, I never photographed) which is custom designed and made for law enforcement and tactical duties and use. This knife has a serious and stout mirror polished and custom etched 440C high chromium stainless steel blade, with a good length of serrations for tough cutting chores. The knife blade has full filework, and is bolstered with zero care high nickel, high chromium 304 austenitic stainless steel. The handle has great quillons to lock the knife into the hand, guard the forefinger, and nice belly for comfort. The dovetailed bolsters bed a pair of beautiful Midnight Stone gemstone handle scales that are a tough Slate with gold colored metallic inclusions of Chrysopyrite. The sheath for the knife is a tension fit kydex, 5052H32 corrosion resistant high strength aluminum alloy welt frame, secured with blued steel Chicago screws. The sheath is outfitted with a tough and springy nickel plated steel belt/boot clip for versatile wear options.

A tough knife made for State Police use.

"Last Chance" State Police knife, reverse side view. New Mexico State Police, "Pro bono publico" means "for the public."
